It’s been a while since I’ve posters anything due to moving premises and setting up Internet. Below are details of a good course for manual physiotherapy

Spinal Manipulation: Thoracic and Lumbar Spine

This one-day course will enable clinicians to:

• Perform Thoracic spine Grade V techniques
• Perform Lumbar Grade V techniques
• Refine their manual skills to effectively perform these techniques
• Identify the clinical indications for thoracolumbar manipulative thrusts
• Explore the evidence base for manipulative techniques
• Incorporate these techniques into their area of clinical practice

Tutor: Mr Aled Williams , MSc (Manip Ther); MMACP; MCSP;

( Aled works part time as Clinical Lead for Outpatient Services at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. He combines this with his studies towards a PhD in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Swansea University. He gained an MSc in Manipulative Therapy from Coventry University. He is an established MSc/ MACP clinical mentor and examiner. He is an external lecturer on several UK MSc Manual Therapy courses where he specialises in the teaching of spinal manipulation. His conference presentations include the 2011 CSP Conference in Liverpool. )

  1. I’d be interested to know if you have a guide for office workers like me in relation to spinal support and lumbar supports. I imagine it’d be of benefit to anyone sat all day like drivers too. Swimming relieves my mild discomfort, but prevention is better than cure as my physio keeps telling me!
